Once upon a time, Karen professed to be a career teacher — head of a primary, life a whirlwind of curriculum and standards. Then at 40, she had a son and everything changed. A writer was born.
English had always been her passion, but as a stay-at-home mum she found time to write for herself, not classrooms. Over lockdown her parenting blog, The Unyoung Mum, became therapy. When school started, she took a leap into novel writing.
Now she has representation, with Hands and Subscribe to Me on submission, and Expired in progress — stories about complicated women, ambition, friendship, and reinvention.
Follow along on the journey — books, blog, and behind the scenes.
